According to media reports, the Serbian caught the eye of ABSA Premiership giants, Kaizer Chiefs who are on the lookout for a new coach after parting ways with Steve Komphela last month.  Minnows, Baroka FC and Polokwane City are also said to be monitoring the tactician.  Speaking to this publication after his side won the BTC Premiership last week, Kavazovic dropped a hint that he will see his two-year contract run out, but could not say much as he stated all would be revealed in June.

“When there is smoke, there is fire, so it is now up to me and I am going to let the fire and everything to burn or I am going to hammer the smoke and finish the story about those clubs, which are mentioned in the media and to stay with Rollers. Everything would be published in June,” he said.

The 51-year-old has claimed a big African club is after his signature. According to a source close to the club management, the tactician has already laid his plans for next season that could be a sign that he will remain with the club for next season.

Kavazovic who arrived in the country in June last year further said the country has immense talent and suggested the Zebras could qualify for the World Cup in the next 15 years. “I was surprised with how much talented this nation is. Comparing to South Africa, Botswana is much talented, the only difference is the logistics, the stadiums and (a larger number of) supporters but Botswana with good leadership and development of infrastructure could even play in the World Cup in 15 years,” he said.

Kavazovic broke two all-time records with Rollers this season. He recorded eight consecutive wins with the team in the first eight league games. He also collected 33 points in the first 13 games that is a record for the club. Kavazovic also led Rollers to their second Mascom Top 8 triumph in March.
