Three perish in horrific accident

 

The accident took place opposite the old Francistown airport junction along the A3 road.
Tatitown police station commander, superintendent Cyprian Magalila confirmed the incident, which occurred on Saturday morning by the Bluetown location.
He said all three occupants of the Toyota Fortuner inclusive of the driver were rushed to Nyangabwe Referral Hospital and were certified dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The police boss said the deceased were aged between 35 and 37 years old.
He said that they have managed to identify the deceased men but their names are withheld until their next of kin are informed.
He further said the driver of the Mercedes Benz horse and trailer truck who was alone at the accident sustained minor injuries and was also rushed to the same hospital.
He said the truck driver was treated and discharged the same day.
Magalila said investigations in the matter are still ongoing to establish the cause of the accident.
He urged all road users to be cautious when driving so that they can reach their destinations safe and alive.
“Lets all take safety precautions when driving by following all road signs and drive carefully to save lives,” he said.
All the deceased and injured are said to be Batswana.
