The billboard music store is an American digital music store, which is linked to Billboard music charts. Top selling and streamed music from the digital store is directly put on the Billboard Music Charts.

“Our objective is to create an international digital audience that’s why we keep tapping into different digital platforms, but with this platform we are trying to have Drama Boi’s music on the Billboard music charts,” said Drama Boi’s business manager, Itumeleng Garebatshabe.

He noted that this platform is likely to open new opportunities for the Motswako rapper, especially in America and increase sales of the album.

Despite this being a smart move, the challenge is that one can only purchase music when they are in Botswana, which has led Drama Boi to rally behind his fans.

“One day I will make the billboard charts...for those living in the USA kindly get Township Music 2 from the Billboard Music Store and help push the dream. WaMakeishane, (sic),” said Drama Boi on a statement he released regarding his music on the Billboard music store.

Drama Boi’s latest album Township Music 2 has been doing well on different digital music stores such as iTunes, Amazon and Deezer. He is also selling the album through his mobile App. Garebatshabe noted that they recently released the Drama Boi Unplugged live audio content which he performed live during his album launch which is already available on digital music stores.

Meanwhile Drama Boi recently signed a deal with ETV’s Rhythm City, which will see the TV soapie playing music from Township Music 2 as background music starting from May 1.  “We are planning a world tour for Drama Boi that will see him perform in different countries. At the moment we are talking to different embassies and looking for potential sponsors for the tour”.
