No New Leads In Wilson Murder Case

“If there is anyone who has vital information that could lead to the arrest of the alleged killers we invite him or her to come forward to the police.  It is proving difficult to apprehend the alleged killers of the pharmacist,” Central Police station commander, Lebalang Maniki said on Friday.

The murder of Wilson, which occurred a week ago sent shockwaves among residents of the usually quiet and peaceful location of Area A.

Area A is a middle-income location where instances of violent crimes are less common.

Maniki said that they highly suspect that criminals might have killed the 35-year-old Wilson in the morning while he was on his way to work.

At the time of his death Wilson who resided at Donga location worked at River Side hospital, which is one of the city’s largest health facilities.

Wilson hailed from Gabane.  He dead body was discovered by a passerby at Area A location behind the Institute of Health Sciences (IHS). Police in the past acknowledged recorded cases where thieves snatched cellphones of those who use the road behind IHS but no violence was applied to the victims.

Early last week when confirming the incident Maniki said that the police did not know how the deceased’s body ended up at Area A when he actually resided at Donga.

There were initial fears that the 35-year-old might have been killed by those who knew him before dumping his body at Area A location.

“The exact motive of his killers remains unknown up to now,” Maniki said.

However, indications from police insiders are that the assailants might have robbed Wilson before killing him.

The deceased was found with a stab wound on his body, raising suspicion that the assailants stabbed him with a sharp object suspected to be a knife.
