The club confirmed the two coaches have been relieved of their duties. Stanojlovic served as technical advisor for a season. “Township Rollers informs all that Mr. Dragojlo Stanojlovic and Mr. Mogomotsi Mpote have been released by the club at the end of this current 2017/2018 footballing season,” a statement from the club reads.

Mpote lost his place on the team’s technical bench with former player, Leutlwetse Tshireletso being preferred by head coach, Nikola Kavazovic. The developments have since prompted Mpote to seek ‘greener pastures’ as he felt unwanted at the league champions.

Mpote has reportedly received offers from Rollers’ cross-town rivals; Gaborone United (GU), Jwaneng Galaxy, Extension Gunners, Tafic, Police XI and First Division sides; Morupule Wanderers and Sua Flamingos. The soft-spoken tactician is reportedly entised by GU job. Mpote has been serving in the Rollers’ bench for close to a decade now, making him the longest member of the team after goalkeeper coach, Thabo Motang.

He worked under the guidance of a number of coaches amongst them Madinda Ndlovu and Mark Harrison. He has two Mascom Top 8 titles and four three-league titles at the club.

He guided Rollers to their 14th league title during his time as an interim coach following the departure of Harrison mid through the season, boasting a 17-game unbeaten streak in the chase for the championship. The soft-spoken tactician has coached at TASC, Miscellaneous and BR Highlanders before joining Rollers.
