Monarch man up for defilement

The accused, Nyaladzani Kudza, allegedly committed the offence on April 8 at Monarch.

Kudza who pleaded not guilty to the charge allegedly lured the complainant with bread and raped her numerous times without using protection.

According to the statement that the complainant gave to the police, Kudza at one point also gave the complainant P20 before having sex with her only to take back the P20 after he finished having sex with the under age girl.

The prosecutor, police Inspector Mengistu Chigala told the court that investigations into the matter were not complete and are still continuing.

Chigala added: “The accused is in custody. May he be further remanded in custody.”

Kudza pleaded with the court to grant him bail saying that he knows nothing about the matter.

Chief Magistrate Taboka Mopipi advised Kudza to apply for bail at the High Court.

The accused is due in court again on June 18 for another mention.
