Sentebale seeks financial support

According the head of the program in Botswana Ketlogetswe Montshiwa pointed out that they have two aspects that they use to reach out to children who are living with HIV which are camps and clubs located in different areas of the country. She said they involve caregivers of these children in their program so that they can effectively deliver their mandates.
Montshiwa pointed out that these activities and initiatives they are working on require a lot of money. A three-week long camp for an example, cost a little over P400 000 to cater for the children and the staff.
To highlight some of their achievements two of their volunteers gave testimonies of how the organisation has made a positive impact in their lives.
One of Sentebale’s biggest supporters locally is the National Aids Coordinating Agency (NACA). The agency’s chief IEC officer Nametsego Tswetla explained that their partnership with Sentebale, started in 2017 and that they support the organisation financially. “We gave them a little over half a million pula,” she said.
A delegate from Botswana Foundation Trust pledged that their organisation will pay for some of the infrastructure needed for the camps as a way to support Sentebale in its activities.
