Suspected Tlokweng serial rapists' DNA tests positive

This means that the two men are placed at the scene of the crime and likely committed the offences.  The prosecutor, Tlotlang Balathwa told the court that the prosecution had intended to substitute the charge sheet with a new one following the arrival of the duo’s DNA results.

“I plead with the court to set another mention date in which I will move the application before the accused persons substantive magistrate,” Balathwa said.

Mmegi has learnt that the accused persons’ DNA links them to the offence of rape and are likely to face more charges for rapes they allegedly committed in the past in the same location.

Asked if they have anything to say the two Zimbabwean men told the court that they do not and they were further remanded in custody until June 20, 2018.
