Hunt on for ex-boyfriend accused of rape

The 24-year-old woman claims that her ex-boyfriend dragged her from the bar to his place where on arrival he slept with her without her consent.

In an interview with Mmegi, Tshane police station commander superintendent Vusimusi Jorowe confirmed to be investigating the case with the known suspect still at large.

“The victim claims that they are no longer dating and that their relationship had ended months back. He (the suspect) is suspected to have departed to the cattlepost after the incident hence still looking for him whilst investigations into the matter are ongoing,” Jorowe said.

Jorowe also confirmed that they are investigating a defilement case in which a 15 year of old girl doing form two at Lehutshelo junior secondary school was sexual assaulted by a man aged between 21 and 27 who is a student at Macheng bridgade at Lehututu village.

He said that the girl’s parents reported the matter to the police after the teenager spent the night out without her parents knowing her whereabouts.

“Even though the teenager confirmed to us that they are dating and the lad did not rape her we are currently investigating the matter because she is under age. She stated that they met at an entertainment place over the weekend and went to the lad’s place where the incident allegedly occurred,” Jorowe said.
