After releasing his Zeng Zeng ke eng in 2015, this will be Franco’s 15th album and it puts him up there with artists who have the most albums.

The singer from Gabane told Showbiz in an interview that this album means a lot to him because he has taken a different approach.

“With this album I wanted to show people that kwasa-kwasa music is aligned to God hence the title Eya le nna Babilone. I am also a religious man who goes to church,” he said. The Ke lela le lona hit maker said the world has changed and nothing is the same.

He said the title was inspired by the story of Jeremiah in the bible. In the Bible, Jeremiah the prophet of God was put down a well as prisoner where he was bound in chains. This event happened during the reign of King Zedekiah, 20th and last king of Judah 597BC-586BC.

Franco believes that God is always near and is the only one who can rescue people from the world of sin.

He said Jeremiah chose the righteous way after he was released from chains therefore people should also choose their own path after being born again.

The Tipi ya mokwatla singer said people should not be confused because the album is not a gospel one despite the biblical allusion in it.

He said it is easy to spread messages through music.

Franco said as a kwasa-kwasa artist he believes that his fan base has not changed despite the perception that kwasa-kwasa is finished.

“The only thing that has changed is that there are few kwasa-kwasa groups compared to the past,” he said.

Franco said kwasa-kwasa music is challenging for groups because they have to play live music.

At the launch, local artists such as Ditiro Leero will support Franco. Sdudla noMathousand of Stimela fame from South Africa will also be there.
