Upon his completion of the long walk there has been rumours that the rapper is planning on putting his boots for auction as a way of raising funds for the Tlatsa Lebala event slated for May 6.

“It’s still at a conversation stage at the moment. It’s something that we started discussing during the walk. We are yet to decide what we should do with the walking boots. We might auction them or take them to a museum,” said Kast.

He vividly noted that he does not want a situation whereby the walking boots will end up being part of the old stuff in his closet as he is planning on something for them. “At the moment I do not have much to say regarding this matter because nothing has been finalised but we will do something regarding the shoes.”

Kast received the ‘Rifi’ just a few days before his famous walk from Keno Suits duo Donald Nnoto and Thobo Kerekang who gave him the boots as a sponsorship.

The norm of auctioning objects used by rappers in different occasions is not something new.

The latest one is the auctioning of Tupac Shakur’s ticket stub to the Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon fight of September 7, 1996 at the MGM Grand in Vegas.  Tupac Shakur had attended the fight and that was the same night he was shot.

In the meantime Kast stated that they are still focused on getting a main sponsor of the Tlatsa Lebala event. “We are still working on getting a sponsorship. We have spoken to a number of people and it is promising.”

Apart from securing the sponsorship he noted that at this stage they are working on the event’s logistics and finalising the performance line despite not having a sponsor.

The rapper staged his first ever performance after the walks this past Saturday at the Yarona FM Summer Jamboree at the Stanbic Bank Piazza.
