After postponing his one-night show recently, hottest newcomer, Motlha finally staged his event titled One Night with Motlha at Ditshupo Hall last Saturday. The show was initially supposed to be hosted at Stanbic Bank Piazza on June 2, 2018, but was postponed because of the open space in the cold and sound issues.

The show finally happened two hours later than the scheduled time where Ditshupo Hall came to life. It was not the man of the moment, Motlha who lit up the show as expected, but Nkomo with his popular hit, Bekezela.

Although he performed just three songs, Nkomo made a statement and stole the Motlha’s thunder that night. The man showed that his is simply the best without necessarily doing much as revellers who had filled up almost half of Ditshupo Hall erupted into cheer, song and dance, immediately when he thumbed the strings of his guitar.

Nkomo was roped in after the show was postponed to beef up the line up, which also had another showstopper in ATI who performed Hisa Hisa, a collaboration with Motlha.

It was not like Motlha did anything wrong on stage, he gave his best and moved the crowd, especially when he performed the hit song Mmamotse. But it was the man from Zimbabwe who had the crowd eating from the palm of his hand. It was turning into his launch in Botswana.

While on stage, Nkomo called on Motlha and Soul Culture to perform a song called Mo Lese together, an advisory message to men to accept when their female partners end the relationship.

Nkomo said they rehearsed the song the night before the event. He had control of the show to an extent that the show closed with his performance of the famous Bekezela.

Despite Nkomo stealing the show, a few local artists such as Maxy, Han C, Samantha Mogwe also joined Motlha on stage for his performance much to the excitement of the crowd.
