Bouyant Makhubu JSS aims for 100% pass rate

To maintain their powerhouse status, the school has devised a strategy to eliminate the D grade as a way of strengthening their performance.

At the school’s victory celebration on Saturday, James said that the elimination of the D grade strategy aims to catapult Makhubu JSS to first position with a 100% pass rate.

The strategy is part of the school’s comprehensive approach to creating a culture of high performance among both the students and the staff.

Makhubu maintained position three in the 2016 Junior Certificate Examination (JCE) results with 69%, a slight downfall by four percent from the 73% they obtained in 2015.

Last year’s Form Threes, now in Form Four at various schools around the country were invited to the celebration where they were presented with certificates of excellence and presents.

Teachers and non-teaching staff who have met their yearly targets were also presented with certificates of excellence and gifts.

Prior to the celebration, the school head wrote letters to the various schools where their graduates have been admitted, congratulating the students for their JCE results and declaring them Makhubu JSS champions.

He said that this is one way the school continues to groom and motivate their products even after they have left their shores.
