What is for certain for the fans is that Charma Gal’s new song, Mmokolodi, currently trending on Twitter and Facebook, has ignited a lot of curiosity about the whole album. Mmokolodi, which has got fans talking, is one of the songs in Charma Gal’s eight-track album.

Most of her fans will have an opportunity to see her perform the song and seven others, including GaChibana, where she featured Zimbabwean music icon, Oliver ‘Tuku’ Mtukudzi in an event dubbed Pre-launch Party on April 14, 2017.

Mmokolodi has become a favourite amongst most of her male fans because it praises a man’s attractiveness, which is rare in the music industry. In this industry, it is a norm for male artists to praise a woman’s beauty.

Most of her male fans seem intrigued by the way she has played around with words.

One of her song’s stanzas goes, “Nna keya Mmokolodi, keya Mmokolodi, gona le guy e ngwe jaana, ngwana o ntwista di intestine, ebile o ntatsa sekotele, selo se dintshi okare maoto a sebokolodi,” which translates as, “I’m going to Mmokolodi, going to Mmokolodi, there is this guy, who twists my intestines, he fills me up like a bowl, has eye lashes like the legs of a millipede”.

The singer goes on praising the same man for having “subscribed, driving a Q7 car, staying in a double story, wearing sneakers and a Hublot”.

In an interview with Showtime, her manager Resego Matenge popularly known as Leshman, promised Charma Gal’s fans that the event would be ‘memorable’. He said the artist would treat her fans with nothing but the beautiful songs from her album.

“We have not yet decided which name to give Charma Gal’s new album. However, I promise that all the eight tracks are beautiful and her fans would go home satisfied if not begging for more. We are working so hard to give our fans a remarkable show,” he said.

He said in their quest to promote local music, they decided to include as many local artists as possible in the pre-launch.  Some of the local artists who would perform at the event are local kwasakwasa king Franco, MMP Family, ATI, Team Distant, Wizard, Captain Dira, Lizibo, Mahempe, Mlesho, Makwakwa, Mantshwabisi, Tumza, Tyte, Prince and others.

DJ Sly and DJ Kitz will also partake in the event while Sporo and Walkman would be MCs.  The Lerato Ka Mogala South African singer, Jonny Mokhali will also be performing at the event.
