The event held at the GICC on Friday and headlined by Oskido was surely going to pull a crowd and indeed the place was packed. Nothing beats an indoor party on a cold night and revellers had nothing to worry about as they owned the dance floor.

A number of DJs like DJ Bax and DJ Peter set the stage alight as people waited for the main act to bless the decks.

But as much as the music was too good for the feet, the dress code was too interesting for some of the youth who were not there in 70s and 80s. The Afro wigs dominated and both men and women showed their unique swagger.

It was also a time for some of the elderly crowd to hear the hits that defined and made their childhood. Also interestingly, the majority of the crowd at the party were the youth and some of them wanted to get away from today’s trap music and listen to something their parents always rave about.

The dance floor located just near the men on the decks was platform for everyone to loosen up and freely express themselves.

The 70s party was a gathering where no one was judged by their dance moves and it was a party where forming a circle in the dance floor was not a priority.

By the time the main act arrived on stage people had already melted the night away.
