“It has taken many discussions with family for me to arrive at this decision. Please know that my personal relationship with Zen Promotions and its current artist Veezo remains unaffected.

We are now forever brothers just as we have been and will continue to work with each other as we already have new music about to be released,” the rapper said in a press release. BanT who was the breakout artist of 2016, said the decision to leave Zen Promotions was inspired solely by his desire to pursue other creative avenues and to put greater focus onto alternative business exploits, which include his own label Bantastic Sounds and #WhySo.

“I am currently in the process of completing my debut album and I plan on doing many more collaborations this year with other artists (locally and internationally)”.   He said he had a great ride with Zen Promotions and would like to thank the company for everything it taught him.

“I thank you for not only growing me as a brand but as a person as well and it is my sincere hope that you will continue to prosper and help many other artists in the future and will definitely miss the good times,” he said.

Zenzele Hirschfeld has confirmed that indeed they have parted ways with the rapper, but declined commenting any further.  Veezo is now the only rapper left under Zen’s artists’ management.

The two parties part ways after what has been a mass growth for the rapper since Zen took over as BanT’s manager. Under Zen’s management, BanT was able to shoot his Naomi video as well as record the Naomi remix, which features Family Tree’s Gemini Major and Tshego. The rapper was also able to get good reviews from renowned artists like Vee and on top of that he won three awards from seven nominations at the YAMAs XXXL last December .

It also comes as a surprise to see the two part ways since Zen is a very close friend of BanT’s mother.

BanT told the media last year at the launch of Naomi Reloaded that he met Zen through his mother and his career started to pick up from there.

He described Zen as close a friend on top of being his manager.  BanT will now continue under new management as he pushes into a new chapter without Zen Promotions.
