The club made the revelations yesterday during the announcement of a contract between the Lobatse giants and Tsa gae (Pty).

The two parties entered into an agreement that commenced in January where the company, popularly known for their clothing brand, All Kasi, will run the day-to-day business of the club. One of the company directors, Ludo Kemoeng said hardly a week passes without the club receiving a claim for money owed from either individuals or organisations. “We cannot give a blow by blow on how much we owe per individual but generally the debts exceed P500, 000,” he said. The club has been at loggerheads with former coach, Pio Paul, which saw him attach the team’s kit. Kemoeng said they tried to engage Paul and gave him an offer on how they can pay him but failed in their attempt. He added that at the moment they are engaging all those owed by the club to see how best they can deal with the situation.

Gunners were dealt a heavy blow last week when head coach, Daniel Nare resigned ahead of their crunch encounter with Township Rollers. Kemoeng said Nare left at a time when the club needed him most. “His resignation letter does not state the reasons for his departure and he had never informed us of any problems before. He only stated in the letter that he is resigning and that he will send his lawyer to collect all that is owed to him,” Kemoeng told journalists yesterday. Nare’s contract expired at the end of last month. However, Kemoeng said Nare was supposed to have been in charge of the team until the end of the season as per his request when his contract expired. He said they were surprised when they received his resignation letter last week when they were preparing for the match against Rollers. “We wanted to engage him and probably hear the reasons for his departure and see if we cannot convince him to stay but we could not get hold of him. We had to inform the rest of the technical team about his resignation and told them they had to prepare for the Rollers game without him,” he said. Against Rollers, Itumeleng Duiker was in charge and managed to hold the log leaders to a 1-1 draw. The club has since announced that he will hold fort until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Hennel Kaisara is the new chairperson following the death of Phenyo Gothaang. Kaisara has been serving as Gothaang’s vice.
