Speaking after Orapa’s 2-0 win over Sankoyo Bush Bucks on Saturday, Ndlovu said the treatment he received from the fans was the reason he would not consider returning anytime soon.

Ndlovu resigned from Rollers on April 21, 2015 following a 2-1 Mascom Top 8 final defeat to Gaborone United.  Ndlovu said he was irked by Popa fans who attacked him following the loss.

“I made it clear to Township Rollers management in my resignation letter that I was leaving due to the conduct of its fans.

They threw missiles at me and what assurance do I have that they will not repeat the same.” While not confirming nor denying that he has been approached by Rollers, Ndlovu instead said he would not return to Rollers so long their fans misbehave to coaches.

“You win many games for them, the next thing you lose just one game and they throw objects at you,” Ndlovu said.

He explained that he is happy at Orapa United. “Since I came to Orapa, I have not been under any pressure. I have all the support I need here and my boys have honoured my time here giving me back to back Mascom Top 8 finals. We will be looking to defend our trophy next weekend,” he said.

He said since Orapa United were formed in 2011, it has successfully implemented a five year plan. Ndlovu cited Orapa’s participation in the CAF Confederations Cup and the 2016 Mascom Top 8 title as examples that all is going well for the team.

“Orapa is not a big team compared to Rollers and Mochudi Centre Chiefs, but so far so good for us,” he said. Meanwhile, Ndlovu rested his top striker, Omaatla Kebatho against Sankoyo for the Top 8 final.
