Joyous Celebration's Zaza to headline looming Gospel show

The show, set for June 30, 2018 is organised by the Eagles Nest Church and is expected to transform and touch souls through music. The trio will also be in the company of other gospel singers such as former child star Vusi Mtokufa and South African Pastor Johnson.
Zaza has been part of South Africa’s biggest gospel albums, Joyous Celebration 12, Spirit of Praise 4 and 5 and Woman in Praise. She is the voice behind South Africa’s favourite gospel hits including Jezebel, Calvary and Zonk’izono. As a solo artist, she has recorded the albums Awusibalelo, Umoya Oyingcwele, Thank You and Imvuselelo.
Zaza has also been a backing vocalist for renowned gospel artists such as Rebecca Malope, Vicky Vilikazi, Solly Mahlangu and Keke.
Chairperson of Eagles Nest Church, Dickson Gothaang told Arts & Culture that the show promises to be exciting as they have a mix of famous local and international acts in the line up.
“This is a show not to miss. As you already know, music is a universal language that has the power to touch and transform hearts and souls, regardless of race, gender, age or doctrine; we therefore chose this initiative to touch souls through music and raise funds in the process, all to the Glory of God,” he said. Gothaang said the show is intended to raise funds for a number of projects.
“We are doing this for charity and fundraising for the church as well. We have adopted Gamodubu orphanage centre, so we continuously make donations to them. We also want to buy school uniforms for disadvantaged students at Mahupu Unified Secondary School,” he added. Furthermore, Gothaang said some of the proceeds would be directed towards church building. Tickets for the show are selling at P500, P300 and 150 for VVIP, VIP and Standard respectively.
