Vee Mampeezy who is Orange Botswana’s brand ambassador told the media on Wednesday about the new release during an album listening session combined with the launch of Orange Halona Smartphone.

Vee Mampeezy who is now signed under Universal Music South Africa sampled four songs from the upcoming album. The first two singles ‘batho ba nyatsa batho’ and ‘true love’ will be released for Botswana market while the other two called ‘better man’ and ‘sthando sam’ is targeted for the House music craved South African audience.

The ‘letlhale’ hitmaker said he wondered why people had doubted him after releasing hit after hit since 2003. He highlighted that since winning the Metro FM award last year, he has been representing Botswana well outside. “The song ‘batho ba nyatsa batho’ shows that this album is no joke,” he said.

After what was a disappointment in the songs ‘wabaatsile’ and ‘khubama re itshebe’, the upcoming single ‘batho ba nyatsa batho’ also known as testify takes Vee back to the original roots. While Batswana are yet to hear the songs Vee Mampeezy is as confident as ever and he might just win back his old fans.

Vee Mampeezy’s past collaborations with SA artists has never really worked for him, but it looks like the upcoming collabo with DJ Maphorisa and Busiswa might crack the SA market not to mention the impact it might do locally.

The launch of Orange Halona Smartphone was regarded as a celebration of BW talent, technology and partnership. Orange Halona Smartphone is an affordable, 3G capable, mobile device. It boasts a 3.5inch LCD screen and 2-megapixel camera.
