During last year’s event, organisers managed to fulfill the secret location experience because everyone had no idea where they were being taken until they found themselves at Boetelo Sun Valley Resort in the outskirts of Gaborone. This time around Jameson Botswana came up with a different concept to connect friends and grow their brand.

In an interview with Showbiz, Jameson marketing manager Jennifer Gaffney said this year they had to change it a bit and add a new experience.

“We wanted a new and fresh idea,” she said. Gaffney said there would be three stunning international acts, and five of the best local talent to provide entertainment for the day.

She added that the VIP experience will provide group packages and seven people will pay P4,000 for the experience. “We want to encourage interaction and put focus on the gentleman and friends,” she highlighted.

She said each of the seven people would get two bottles of Jameson and food.

While last year’s event was an all white party, Gaffney indicated that this year there is no dress code. She said Jameson has a respectable following therefore they expect their customers to dress for the occasion.

She said the Jameson Connects campaign is global and other African countries are also pushing theirs. The event will start at 3pm until 2am and the general ticket is sold at P250. The general ticket includes a welcome drink but no further free drinks.

This year’s event is expected to give a chance to attendees who had never experienced Jameson lifestyle quite like this before.
