Fed-up Chaba to quit Miscellaneous

He said he cannot remember the last time he or the players were paid.

The side sits 12th in the log and faces a possible relegation after a good run last season saw them finish in the top eight.

Chaba said the team is facing financial challenges, which make his job difficult as the boys even refuse to go into camp.

He said their weekend game against Jwaneng Galaxy was their fifth without players going into the pre-match camp.

“There is no money, no resources and no cooperation because the boys refuse to camp without being paid. It’s difficult to play without camping because I can’t monitor the players.

“The whole situation is making my job very difficult because even at training I have to compromise and do what the boys want.

They control us and I can’t state what I want them to do as usually they tell me they are starving hence cannot train hard,” Chaba said.

Although Chaba is quitting, he vowed that the team would not relegate under his guide.

“I have done my part, maybe it is time I give the team to somebody else to try their luck.

It’s a pity because whenever the club does not perform well, people blame the coach without full knowledge of what is going on internally.

No one can do what I am doing. At the end of the season, I will only be waiting for my payment then part ways with Miscellaneous.

I helped the team get promotion to the Premiership, got them a top eight finish and now I will fight to leave them in the top flight,” Chaba said.

Tse Nala face Gaborone United on Friday and Chaba promised that the team will try hard to win the match.

He called on fans to refrain from insulting and criticising players, but rather encouraged them to motivate the team.
