Orange and Vee have entered into an official one year brand ambassadorship contract in which Vee will serve as a key face of the brand going forward, aligning two successful brands that both have a clear and unwavering passion.

To kick-off the exciting new relationship with Vee, Orange Botswana recently released a catchy jingle with the artist for the launch of their TsenaKaCoin campaign. TsenaKaCoin is Orange Botswana’s latest offer that allows customers to purchase a data bundle for as little as P2.

Speaking during the launch recently, Orange CEO Patrick Benon said this partnership is an extension of an already existing passion that Orange has towards the local music industry.

“Its been almost 10 years since Orange and Vee came together to form this relationship that has turned into an amazing partnership and we continue to enjoy the fruits borne from our association,” he said.

According to the CEO, their relationship with Vee started precisely nine years ago when they sponsored the release of Vee’s limited copy album, ‘Party animals’, which he said initiated a series of collaborations leading to 2015 when they engaged him on a seven town-tour to sensitise Batswana on their smartphone offers.

Last year, Orange also sponsored the ‘Africa’ video, which was shot in South Africa and also stood with him during the launch of the album ‘I Do’ at Molapo Piazza.

“I would like to congratulate Vee for being the first Motswana on winning the 2017 Metro FM Music Awards (MMA) under the ‘One Africa Award’. By winning this, Vee reminds us that being passionate about your craft can yield good results in whatever area one chooses,” he said.

Orange’s actions to support music and local artists date back as far as 2008 where they worked with local musicians like Scar, Vee and Dramaboi.

Meanwhile, Vee has continued to dominate the Caller Ring Back Tunes chats earning P48,855 with his ‘I Do’ hit, followed by Phempheretlhe with P23,250.55 and Lizibo on the third place with P21,082,80. Sasa Klaas came on the fourth spot with P12,030.06 and Testify with P10,217,15.

Since the beginning of the payouts in 2105, Vee has continued to outdo his musical counterparts by having the greatest number of downloads. This year the company has paid out over P135,000 in royalties.
