Galaxy now have 40 points and took advantage of Rollers’ stalemate against third-placed Orapa United.

The visitors stamped their authority from the beginning and made the first attack in the sixth minute when Tebogo Sembowa sent in a telling cross and Thabang Sesinyi reacted the quickest but Tse Nala goalkeeper, Kealeboga Bophelo smothered the effort.

Galaxy broke the deadlock through Thero Setsile in the 22nd minute after Miscellaneous defence failed to deal with a counter. Miscellaneous responded with a number of attacks, which were however, unsuccessful. Galaxy went to the break leading 1-0.

In the second half, Miscellaneous did not show any hunger for goals as they were continually frustrated by Mike Sithole’s charges.

Both teams made several changes in a bid to up the tempo of the game. Galaxy doubled their lead in the 67th minute through the sub Gilbert Baruti following a series of short passes which sent Miscellaneous defence into panic mode.

Tse Nala tried their last luck in the 82nd minute through substitute Bogosi Mfila and Master Masitara’s combination. Masitara was sent through, but was fouled by Isaac Paeye as he was about to pull the trigger.

Paeye earned himself a yellow card for his indiscretion. From the resultant free kick, Masitara wasted the chance to grab a consolation goal.

Miscellaneous coach, Russia Chaba blamed the team’s financial crisis for the loss.“There are many obstacles. This is the fifth game we play without going into camp. There is no money in the team, no resources and no cooperation and the boys refuse to camp as they say they want their allowances.

It’s difficult to play without camping because I can’t monitor the players. Anyway, I can promise that despite obstacles, we won’t relegate,” he vowed.

Galaxy coach, Mike Sithole on the other hand gave credit to his boys.

“We don’t want to put pressure on anyone but this win, especially that we were away, gives us confidence of closing the gap on Rollers. We want to compete because now the league becomes more interesting. The boys played well,” he said.
