Classic Affair blends fashion, music and golf

This event is expected to bring together fashionistas, music lovers and the sports people particularly golfers under one roof. The local entertainment company, Eventers, coordinates this event.

During an interview with one of the organisers, Bofelo Segotso, he said that this event is a lifestyle event built around the game of golf fused with fashion and music to make it Botswana’s topnotch lifestyle event. He said it would promote socialising and appreciation of fashion and golf.

“This event would kick start with golf at 9am. We urge companies and a group of friends to come enjoy and appreciate the game of golf as the big boys tussle on the course,” he said.

Segotso further encouraged revelers to come dressed to kill. He explained that there will be a red carpet fashion competition and therefore encouraged the participants to dress up in order to be able to slay on the red carpet and win.

He further stated that during the last leg of events, which is the chilling session, participants would chill, chat with friends and network while enjoying soothing music, drinks and food prepared by top chefs.

“We will be setting up marquees so that different companies, groups of friends and families can be able to sit comfortably while charting and networking. Every marquee will have a live screen that will be showing revelers what is happening around the venue, be golf tournament, fashion parade, celebrity interviews and or music performances,” he said.

Segotso added that they were in talks with some of the local and international celebrities whose names would soon be revealed. He said internationally, they want to invite celebrities from popular soapies such as Generation The Legacy, Rhythm City, Muvhango and others.

“We will be having live performances from local and two bands from South Africa to entertain our customers during the chilling session. We hope the session would last four to three hours. This is because the idea is not to make a festival. This is a lifestyle event,” he said.
