Joyous Celebration's 22 Concert hits Gaborone

The event, hosted by Braveheart (PTY) Ltd on August 25 will be alcohol free. Addressing the media today (Thursday), Braveheart founder, Joseph Manuel said multi-award winning gospel group’s concert will change the revelers’ lives. He said by the time those in attendance at the concert will leave the venue, their lives will be different.
“This is a life changing concert and we will not allow alcohol inside the venue. We want our young people to experience great pleasure without indulging in alcohol and substance,” he said.
He added that he had a chat with the choir’s management and had agreed to host the event annually. Manuel promised that the event was going to grow bigger and better every year. He said the technical, staging, sound and lights would be top notch as MTN Joyous Celebration was very particular about how they wanted their things done.
He thanked Batswana for buying the event’s tickets in large numbers. He pointed out that when they opened tickets sales on April 23, 2018, within two hours they sold about 1250 tickets. He pointed out that to date they have sold over 3000 tickets and therefore advised the public to buy their tickets on time before they are sold out.
He added that they would not be selling tickets at the entrance for security reasons. Tickets are sold at P400 golden and P200 silver tickets.
Braveheart will host the choir for the third time after having brought it here two times in the past. Manuel said they had to take a break so that they could see where they were going wrong and make up for their previous mistakes to give Batswana a perfect show.
For his part, the co-founder of the choir, Lindelani Mkhize said it has been long overdue for the choir to come and perform in the country. He promised that the event would be beyond life changing, as they will give their best on stage. He called Batswana to come in large numbers and witness their live performance. He said he hope their relationship with Brave Heart lasts so that they could bring the concert in the country annually.
Mkhize told Mmegi that they have been busy preparing for a world tour where they are taking Joyous Celebration 22 concert to their fans. He said the attendants do not only have to be gospel lovers as they cater for different music genre fanatics such as Hip Hop, RnB, Jazz and others. He said the show will be professionally set on the international standards.
Joyous Celebration has been making spiritual and emotional connections with their audiences through every performance, with equal parts laughter and tears. With their modern spin on traditional hymns, this larger-than-life group has been a revolving platform for fresh talent since 1996.
They have sold more than three million albums and DVDs, won numerous awards, including Best Gospel Event of the Year at the 2013 Africa Music Awards in London. Their soaring choral arrangements are a Sunday staple for countless South African households.
