Masunga man accused of defiling stepdaughters

According to Masunga police station commander Gaolathe Ngayaya, the defilement cases were reported by one of the man’s stepdaughters last Thursday.

“We are currently investigating a case(s) of a father who allegedly defiled his stepdaughters. He is currently cooperating with us over the allegations, but he is not in our custody,” Ngayaya said.

Ngayaya added that their investigations have revealed that the man may have been defiling his stepdaughters for a long time, as one of the victims has told the police that his stepfather defiled her some time in April this year.

“The man’s stepdaughters are all aged below 16.  The man is working outside Masunga and I am not sure if he is married to the children’s mother.  He occasionally visits his girlfriend or wife and we suspect that he may have committed the offence(s) during one or some of his sojourns,” Ngayaya said.
