Hundreds converged at the popular drinking place to watch the Sunday match, which France won 4-2. The atmosphere was already electric way before kick-off, as fans were kept entertained at the KBL zone.

The big screen provided a real stadium feel, as the match was beamed live, attracting a huge crowd for the final showdown in the world’s biggest soccer showpiece.

KBL communications manager, Masegonyana Madisa said they chose the Tsabong Complex as they felt that it was the best place for their clientele.

“We have had these sessions across the country, that is, Francistown, Maun, Kasane and we felt that a venue like Tsabong Complex would be the most ideal venue to interact with our consumer,” Madisa said.

He said KBL ran a World Cup promotion, with the screening of the match as the culmination of the event.

“Carling Black Label having ran a promo where consumers stood a chance to win Jerseys and Airtime, we saw it fit to reward our consumers which champion experiences like watching the FIFA World Cup at the favourite outlets and also have an experience like never before,” Madisa said.

He was satisfied with the outcome as they had met their objective “of providing our consumers with Champion experiences.”

To spice up the event, local artists, Charma Gal and ATI performed, much to the delight of the crowd.
