The Sisters In Art Exhibition will be based at Flava Restaurant. The exhibition is a brainchild of Flowertry Media House, which has previously hosted events such as the Pop Up Market Show, and Chillstep Sundays.

Every session will feature crafts by two women. The exhibition will be held every two months and it will run for four days.

“Through our other initiatives such as Chillstep Sundays and Pop Up Market Show we have realised an increase in products made by women.

This then prompted us to find an avenue for women to showcase their products,” Flowertry Media House senior partner, Tshepiso Sebonego, said.

Over the years Flowertry Media House has shown support to female artists through different initiatives and giving them a platform to exhibit their crafts at their events.

Female artists such as Natasha ‘Daey’ Letshabo, Thuto Sekate and Tebogo Cranwell have exhibited their crafts at events organised by Flowertry Media House.

“It is one thing to provide a platform where these women will be able to showcase their talent, but what’s next?

This is why we will be inviting inspirational women from the creative industry to provide guidance to the artists through mentorship and network sessions. We want both young girls and women to truly believe in the arts as a viable and sustainable industry.

This will go a long way in providing revenue options outside the office for those whom the arts are a passion.”

The Flowertry Media House team is yet to announce the women who will be showcasing their crafts during the first exhibition next week.
