The first victory party was held at Cigar Lounge in Phakalane on Friday and to save the best for last, the biggest them of all was held on Saturday at the Old Naledi Grounds in Zola.

In an interview with Showbiz, the Letlhale hit maker said the reason he took his victory party to Zola was because the place holds so many special memories.

“Zola is where I started and I have a lot of support base there,” he said. Vee said he used to have a friend in Zola and they used to make a lot of music rehearsals there. Vee added that his Ola kasi video was also shot in Zola therefore it was relevant that he goes back to his roots.

Vee also said he used to perform at Maitisong Outdoor festival which was traditionally held at the Old Naledi grounds. “It was fully packed. We were supposed to end the festival at 8pm but we continued until later because of crowd control,” he said. Vee Mampeezy said he would not have hosted the big party at Phakalane because he had to consider where the majority of his fans are.

Vee Mampeezy said he would have wanted to take more victory parties to Batswana across the country but lack of funds limited his efforts. “I want to give back to the community but I was restricted by the budget,” he said.

Vee Mampeezy said he managed to host the victory parties because of the sponsors he had at the time.

The artist from Hukuntsi, who has been doing music for more than a decade, now is also pushing his I do album that was launched last year at the Stanbic Bank Molapo Piazza.
