The event was held last Thursday at the No 1 Ladies Coffee House. The venue was packed to the rafters making it the first Naked Soul Sessions event to be full house.  Clad in her traditional attire and traditional head wrap, Leshie Lovesong was backed up by guitarist, Cedric Ncube and saxophonist, Terry Lewis.

Without starting by any formal introductions she went straight to the point performing a jam titled Waiting To Grow, which had the audience cheering and impressed.

The live performance gave Leshie Lovesong’s set a spark with Lewis blending in with the saxophone and Ncube’s guitar fusing with the vocals.

The songstress went on to perform Hello Mr, which is a favourite to many she performed the song to.  The song seems to still be a favourite to many as they sang along and clapped to the tune.  The muso went on to perform more of her songs and some poetry, but the music was more dominant.

While performing she gave it her all and this could be noted through her vocals, energy and excitement on stage.  Everyone in the audience loved every moment of the show.

In the dying minutes of her performance she decided to take things personal by performing a song titled Dinaledi, which is a tribute to her father. The jazz contemporary song had many people teary eyed, but still enjoying the music.

She then closed the show with what is dubbed as her best song titled Satellites And Stars, which left people yearning for more. The event was attended by a number of people including artists and Gaborone socialites.

Earlier this year Leshie Lovesong had said that she would not be staging any live shows locally as she wanted to focus on other projects. This might have been her last local appearance for the year as she had indicated earlier on.
