Despite the event starting an hour late, contestants gave a spectacular display.

The evening started off with contestants who had the least number of votes, Peter, Kedibonye, Trisha, Benjamin, Ditiro and Thuo, battling each other.

The process ended in a tie between Kedibonye, Trisha and Ditiro. The rest of the pack being Peter, Benjamin and Thuo, were sent home.

Peter Thabeng, a 17-year-old who had earlier performed a song titled No Air by Jordan Sparks, admitted that he went off tune.  He, however, believed if given a second chance he would improve.

Amongst the thrilling performance at the elimination stage, was that of Kedibonye.  She bounced back with a soothing hymn.  The young woman got the audience excited after her spectacular display of Let Me Love You by Justin Bieber.

The veteran My Star contestant, with a powerful husky voice left the audience emotional and the judges with no choice but to save her from elimination.

Amongst the blissful performances was Ditiro Nnonyane who captivated the audience with a divine song When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars.

Sandy stole the hearts of a number of people in the audience performing Fairy Tale by Liquid Deep.

One of the parents who came for the My Star competition, Keatlhokile Masilo stated that she came all the way from Tswapong to give support to her niece, Olorato.

She noted that there is talent in Botswana and she was pleased by the performances.  Masilo urged Batswana to vote for their loved ones.

The judges were concerned about the overall performance of the contents.  They highlighted that most of the contestants were inconsistent on their tone, selection of songs and their attire.
