Orapa accuse Galaxy of using underhand tactics to recruit their players, which started with Thabang Sesinyi.  Orapa assistant chairperson, Kennekae Nkape said Galaxy was in the habit of disrupting their players, who then, demand a move away from the Ostriches.  He said Galaxy would then pounce and sign the unsettled player.

He cited the case of Sesinyi who moved from Orapa to Galaxy two seasons ago.

Nkape said they face a similar situation with Moyo. He said they are aware that Galaxy has held talks with the player behind their back.

Moyo joined Orapa United from Nico United a season ago for a fee believed to be P130,000. His contract with the Ostriches runs until December this year.

Nkape said Moyo informed them that he got a job with Majwe Mining in Jwaneng and they could not stand in his way. He said little did they know that the player and Galaxy have been engaged in secret talks and the Jwaneng side want to sign their player.

He said they have no problem with letting the players leave, but there should be respect for contracts and the players should leave properly. He said other clubs, including Township Rollers, had engaged them about the availability of the player.

メIt is deceitful the way Galaxy approaches our players. This is the second case and had we known about (Thabang) Sesinyi we would not have let him go. We realised late and they are using a similar approach on Gift (Moyo), it is very unprofessional,モ the infuriated Nkape said.

Galaxy chairperson, Njabulo Gilika refuted Orapaユs accusations. He said they learnt from social media that the player is working and residing in Jwaneng.

He said they would follow the right channels if they were ever interested in any player. メIt's speculative and we canユt take such issues seriously. We didnユt know the player is already working here (Jwaneng), but if that is the case and if we might develop an interest in the player then we would do the right thing and contact his club. Otherwise, we donユt know anything about the player,モ he said.

Moyo also dismissed allegations that he held talks with Galaxy. He said neither did Galaxy help him get the job at Majwe Mining as is speculated. He said he applied randomly and got the job.

He said he had made his side aware when he joined that he wanted to work while at the same time playing football as he did at Nico United. He said in Orapa the club helped him with internship and was not paid during the course.

メThat is the reason why I had to put out applications and I got the job. I told theハ (Orapa United) management that I could play for any team near Jwaneng, without being specific and they concluded I wanted a move to Galaxy,モ he said.

メThey want me to play for only Orapa, but I find that would be difficult for me because I would be miles away and that would have an effect on selection. I could find myself on the sidelines.モ Moyo said they reached a standoff with the club on the issue and he had decided to set football matters aside and focus on his new job.
