Orapa net hot Cameroonian striker

The deal is reportedly worth P150,000. The 25-year-old Ntouba Epoupa was hot property in the Zimbabwean Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) and Orapa might have netted a big fish. He was selected in the best 11 footballers for 2017 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.

He finished as the club’s top scorer with 12 goals and 10 assists in 22 matches. The 1.89- metre tall striker has represented his country at Under-20 and Under-23 levels. He will battle for a spot in the Ostriches top line with Omaatla Kebatho and Jerome Ramatlhakwana.

Orapa United spokesperson, Kabo William spoke highly of the striker and said the Cameroonian is their marquee signing in the transfer window.

“It’s good business for us, we need to finish more and we believe we have brought the right man with clinical touches up front. He is good competition for our striking force and he is a recommendation from our coach. He believes in him,” he said.

The Ostriches have also completed the signing of five other players in the ongoing transfer window.

They have secured the services of Bophelo Kealeboga from Miscellaneous, Gofaone Mabaya from Black Forest, Onkemetse Powe from TAFIC, Kelapile Ndlovu from Sharps Shooting Stars, and Mothusi Johnson from Gaborone United.

Johnson is seen as a direct replacement for Lesenya Ramoraka on the left wingback. Ramoraka joined South African Premier League rookies, Highlands Park.
