The music festival, that always attracts a large crowd, has in the past brought big names like Black Coffee, Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick and Mafikizolo.

But now the fans feel that the lineup is not dope compared to the previous events.

to clear the air, GIMC founder, Thapelo Pabalinga told Arts & Culture that they expect to release the final lineup beginning of August.  “That lineup is not yet complete.

We start slow going up and people should expect more. I don’t even have to say it, they will see,” he vowed.

Pabalinga said releasing one artist at a go was just a marketing strategy.  Somizi, Lady Zamar, Prince Kaybee and ATI will headline the festival now in its fifth year. Prince Kaybee, who featured last year, will make a return to the lineup and he has already made the year memorable with his hit jam, Club Controller.

Lady Zamar on the other hand recently performed at the Lobatse Meat Festival and will be making a debut at the festival. The Collide hitmaker has often admitted to having stage fright and will be facing one of Botswana’s biggest crowds.  ATI is the only local artist in the headliners’ category and he will be expected to continue swimming on his current success tide.

Other artists already included on the lineup are Dramaboi, Han C, Sjava, Robbie Rob and Brando, Leungo Andre Pitse, La Timmy, Lungisa, Mr O, Apollo D, Jam N-i, Chrispin, Colastraw, DJ Cue, Modric, Lecco and Hapex Guru.
