Inspired by the need to see the country’s comedy movement grow, Rail Park Mall is hosting the event for its copious customers.

The event will bring non-stop laughter with the most sought-after international and local comedians, where the audience will be treated to too much hilarity courtesy of all the featured comedians such as Clive Chigubu from Zimbabwe alongside Botswana’s K-LO, Phenyo The Master, Mr. O, Mawee, Rekunde and Lebo English.

The show promises fireworks as the Mall seeks to ensure patrons experience topnotch entertainment offering different forms of comedy.

“The Unplugged Comedy Knockout will pit comedians against each other in a series of fast-paced challenges. We have selected the country’s best comedians from the Botswana Comedy Camp (Major Moves Comedy) and divided them into groups of two,” Rail Park Mall marketing officer, Keletso Sebogodi said in a press release. Sebogodi said they will then send them into a battle of high stakes comedic gameplay.

She said the comedians will throw roast-like, rapid fire jabs at their opponents, and each segment ends with one comedian crowned champion, one eliminated, and one going into the next round, to battle the winner from the other round, until they remain with only two, who will then battle each other for the ultimate crown.

Furthermore, Sebogodi added that the world of retail real estate, marketers are often challenged to do more with less, and create tangible results in turn.  “As they say, laughter is the best medicine, and what a better way to engage with the mall’s copious members of the public by hosting this apt comedy night.”  Sebogodi said their greatest aim as the mall is to make the most of marketing efforts and drive foot traffic to tenant storefronts.

“Let me urge Batswana to come and experience top notch comedy held under a relaxed environment at the Rail Park Mall Food Court area. We have had tremendous support for our past shows from both the public and the media alike and we promise all our supporters a spectacular show with this production,” she said.

Events coordinator for Major Moves Comedy, Gaolathe Kediemetse said they have a fresh new line-up and people must come and experience the best and ultimate entertainment from beginning to end. Tickets for the Rail Park Mall Unplugged Knockout Comedy are available at Webtickets and Rail Park Mall Centre Management Office priced from P70 single and P130 double. The show starts at 7.30pm.
