BoFiNet flew Kast’s family to meet the rapper in Francistown after he had embarked on a 1,000 km walk from Maun to Gaborone. Kast begun his journey on February 11 and after 15 days the rapper arrived in Francistown on Sunday. He met his family (mother, wife and son) yesterday at the Thapama Hotel.

“I am an organised person and I thought I knew how to read people but I am speechless, I was totally in the dark,” Kast said about meeting the family. “We have gotten all sorts of support along the way but this is priceless. BoFiNet has showed me some things are more precious than money. I am overwhelmed to say the least.”

BoFiNet has also sponsored Kast with free Internet connection in their hotspots along the way to Gaborone and at the Tlatsa Lebala event to be held on May 6. Kast also appreciated the Internet connection support.

“It’s awesome. We had some social media blackouts along the way which affected our updates and this is a welcome development,” he said.

BoFiNet communications public relations and marketing specialist, Shadi Linchwe said bringing the rapper’s family was a motivational gesture. She pledged they will also join the walk.

“He had support in different forms from all over and we thought surprising him with his family will help push him in a more distinctive way. We (some members of the BoFiNet staff) will also be walking 20km from Francistown with Kast.

Kast said the best thing that has come out of his walk thus far is connecting with people from different areas and appreciating Batswana more. “I knew this walk was going to be challenging but it is 10 times more than what I thought. However, pains aside, I have met great people in my journey and the support has been amazing.

“I have learnt positive people are passive and negative people are very passionate and I have grown too strong for negativity,” he said.
