The game finished 1-1 in regulation time and the teams had to be separated by the lottery of penalties.

FSS were the first to ask questions on the afternoon with Mmilidzi Muzila coming close in the third minute. Ledumang tried to exploit the wingbacks of their opponents while FSS sat back and looked to catch their opponents on a counter.

On the 23rd-minute, Muzila again found the ball, but failed to hit the back of the net, as the keeper blocked his shot.

Four minutes later, Yashe Dambe’s free kick tipped over the bar by the keeper, as the scores remained 0-0. On the 37th-minute, FSS’ keeper, showed great reflexes as he denied Tumisang Mokopi from close range.   Ledumang broke the deadlock two minutes before the break, as Tshenyo flicked on a free kick to Kelebale, who hit the roof of the net from the near-post to give his side the lead.  Ledumang took a 1-0 into the break.

After the break, FSS looked like a rejuvenated side, but despite their best efforts they could not convert the numerous chances they had.

Solomon Tumelo found himself in a great space after being teed up by Dambe, but he had his shot saved by the keeper.

FSS eventually found the equaliser on the 78th-minute with Muzila redeeming himself with a beautifully placed shot following yet another free kick in front of the box.

The teams went straight to penalties after they could not find the winning goal in regulation time. Ledumang keeper turned hero of the day for his side as he saved two kicks in a dramatic penalty shootout that saw five missed and four saved by the keepers, while Shardrack Sarase’s decisive kick went out to give Ledumang the glory on the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Nata Senior School was crowned the girls’ champions after an emphatic 4-1 win over Mogoditshane earlier.
