Mohwasa told Mmegi that the committee would start its job soon since there are cases that have been referred to the committee.

“The wards or constituencies that have been ordered to go for elections on August 4, 2018 are the ones which the election committee had to stop the elections because of certain irregularities.

For example we understand that at Borakalalo ward the ballot box was kicked and Boribamo east because one candidate’s name was not there on the ballot paper,” Mohwasa said.

Mmegi has learnt that the election committee has only listened to cases where there were complaints regarding irregularities, but not primary election appeals.

The appeals committee would be forced to deliver judgment on Kanye South and Takatotakwane constituencies.

However, it is not clear on the number of appeals that the party has received since some members had engaged their attorneys to write formal complaints.

The BNF has started its second leg of primaries while complaints of the first ones are still pending.
