Khama to officiate at BFA assembly

BFA chief executive officer, Mfolo Mfolo said Khama, a passionate sport fan, will officially open the assembly, which will be held at Tlotlo Conference Centre in Gaborone.
“He has confirmed that he will attend,” Mfolo said yesterday.
BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti is expected to give the delegates, the state of the association address.
The key issue on the agenda will be the presentation of the association’s accounts.
“They were not presented last time, but this time they will be. The auditors and the chairperson of the Audit and Compliance will make their presentations,” Mfolo said.
The assembly is expected to ratify the late start to last season’s BTC Premiership, which commenced in September instead of August, as per constitution. Some of the annual general meetings for the BFA’s affiliates were held outside the prescribed dates, which will also need to be ratified, Mfolo said.
There would be the appointment of judicial committee members after some left, creating vacancies.
