Rain affects First Division South matches

First Division South chairperson, Sam Keitireng said the condition of the grounds was not suitable for play.

“We are moving towards the end of the league and we do not want any game to be left behind.

We are going to meet and reschedule the two matches,” Keitireng said.

Santos coach, Kgosietsile Mampori said having a game in hand is always a disadvantage especially when the league gets tough.

“The competition is getting tough so as a coach you would not want your competitors to be a game ahead as it puts pressure on the team,” Mampori said.

Letlapeng chairperson, Freddy Ditlhong said with the incessant rains, his team has failed to train properly and now the postponement is a disadvantage to his team, which is fighting relegation.

“We have players who are staying in Gaborone and Lobatse. We spent money on transport for them to attend training and also to come for the match,” he said.

Letlapeng is in position 11 with just two wins from 13 matches.
