According to sources, Kgathi instructed the director of tribal administration Masego Mooketsi to refuse with transport for dikgosi who were billed to attend the launch in Mabolwe.

Kgoboko is challenging Kgathi in the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) primary elections to be held over the weekend. “Kgathi feels that this will overshadow him going to the elections.

He even tried to convince Khama to cancel the launch but hit deaf ears,” a source said. Kgoboko said he was aware of the development. “I have heard some people say that, but cannot confirm it with authority. What I can confirm is that the launch will continue as scheduled. We have been helping people in Bobirwa and nothing will stop us,” he said. Kgoboko has been busy in the constituency donating to uplift his community; something Kgathi feels is a political move to replace him as Bobonong legislator. He boasts that for the past 12 years, FMK Global Holdings have been playing a small role in supporting the education sector, Community Based-Organisations, Social Clubs, Faith Based Organisations, the less privileged, orphans and vulnerable children.

Just recently, Kgoboko shared on his Facebook page that he had made a donation at Bobonong Primary Hospital

“My commitment to continue reaching out to extend a helping hand and support to the less privileged, community and nation at large continued yesterday morning. This time around I thought of those in our hospitals, those with health challenges which requires them to rest in a hospital bed. “Hence my visit to and donation of 61 blankets to Bobonong Primary Hospital, which has a capacity of only 33 beds but admits an average of 61.

This is a special donation to the sickly to keep warm, a special donation to the staff, Bobonong Hospital and District Health Management Team.,” he wrote.

Kgathi has denied neither making the instruction, nor confronting Khama to back off from the launch. “That’s all lies,” Kgathi responded via WhatsApp text message.
