PPADB warns public about fake tenders

One such fake tender on circulation is entitled, ‘ITT 15 Dual Alcohol Sensor Measuring Devices PR-PPADB-072’.

“The Board would like to advice bidders to always be careful and confirm the authenticity of tenders with relevant entities such as PPADB, Procuring Entities, Ministerial Tender Committees or District Administration Committees before committing their time and resources to respond to tenders,” the PPADB public relations and education manager, Charles Keikotlhae said.

He asked the public to note that parastatals normally place their notices in the local media such as the Daily News and private media.

“Government’s formal tenders are mainly published in the Government Gazette and in the Daily News.  In addition, tender notices and procurement plans from different Procuring Entities are published in the PPADB website and the Integrated Procurement Management System (IPMS) portal. These platforms can also assist in verifying the authenticity of any tender notice.”
