Police imposters on the loose

According to police spokesperson, Near Bagali, the criminals are demanding Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards and their Personal Identification Number (PIN), and in the process withdraw money from unsuspecting victims’ bank accounts under the pretext that they are police officers investigating cases of stolen money deposited into their accounts.

After they do so the criminals would then disappear into thin air. 

“The police would like to inform the public that they never demand ATM cards and PINs from anyone they meet in the streets. 

The public is therefore advised to always demand a police identity card and if in doubt contact the nearest police station,” Bagali said.
