Although there was a slow start to voting, figures rose significantly on the last day, Sunday, with all top four teams, amassing over 31,000 votes each.

Orapa United topped the charts with 37,472, with Township Rollers a close second with 36,309 votes. Gaborone United were third with 34,979 votes, pushing Mochudi Centre Chiefs to the final top four spot, as the Kgatleng giants got 31,402 votes.

In all, 225,050 votes were cast, with each SMS costing P2, 00.  The number of votes could have been higher, had new comers like Notwane been allowed to be part of the one-day preseason tournament. Instead, relegated sides, Uniao Flamengo Santos and Gilport Lions could only get 43 votes between them. Another relegated side, TAFIC fared comparatively better with 537 votes, ahead of Police XI (36), Security Systems (103), BDF XI (107) and Sankoyo Bush Bucks (329).

The surprise of the voting came from Extension Gunners who could only manage seventh place after a spirited start. Together with Miscellaneous, the two had started like a house on fire and were firmly in contention right up to the last day of voting.

But the Monday morning results shook a lot of Guna Guna fans, as their team was pushed behind Jwaneng Galaxy and Miscellaneous after garnering 24,085 votes.
