TAFIC meet the league's punching bag, Satmos PIC: KEOAGILE BONANG

Kick off is 4pm. TAFIC are three points ahead of BR Highlanders on 30 points. Highlanders are a point ahead of their weekend opponents, third -placed Motlakase Power Dynamos and TAFIC are aware they will drop points.

The Francistown-based outfit is on an eight-game unbeaten run since their only defeat this season, a 5-3 home loss at the hands of Maun Tigers back in November 2016.

Satmos on the other hand have been trouble-ridden with their ship heading for an iceberg once again. They anchor the log with just five points from 13 games. Goals might rain in the encounter with Satmos the weakest in defence, after conceding 29, while TAFIC have the best attack with the same number of goals. TAFIC had won the first round fixture 4-0. Although Satmos continue to struggle on and off the field, they stood their ground in a stalemate against a rejuvenated ECCO City Greens a fortnight ago.  They might just spring a surprise against a side that recently suspended its coach.

TAFIC interim coach, Elias Chinyemba said the squad is doing well despite the suspension of Blessing Moyo.  He said they anticipate a tough encounter against the battered Cheaters.

“We have addressed the players and they are responding well. We are focused on our next assignment. We respect Satmos and we know they can turn on the style against anyone, anytime. We are not expecting anything on a silver platter,” he said.

Satmos coach, Kgosietsile Jacob said their challenge is beyond the weekend encounter against TAFIC. “The players are committed and we are fighting to pick up points and we focused on that more than who we are up against. We have a mutual respect for all the teams.”

Meanwhile, stakes will be high in the brawl between Highlanders and Motlakase. The duo is battling to keep in touch with the log leaders as they eye a return to the Premiership. Stimela beat Chouka 3-1 in the same fixture in Palapye.

In other games, Morupule Wanderers take on ECCO City Greens in Pilikwe as Major David Bright seeks to continue their way up. TASC play Maun Tigers, GNT welcome Chobe United and in-form Sua Flamingoes host stubborn Real Movers.  Movers and Flamingoes drew 2-2 in the first round encounter.
