He was named as the Player of the season, the most prestigious category, as he also bagged another big one, in which the majority of his fellow Premier League players voted him for the Players' Player of the season award.

The winners were announced today after a long anticipation in which the awards ceremony was not held, sparking disappointment from the football fraternity.

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) announced last month that the award ceremony would not be held this year since the event 'has been overtaken by events.' Moalosi beat his teammate, Mosha Gaolaolwe and Jwaneng Galaxy midfielder, Gilbert Baruti for the two awards.

His teammate, Keeagile Kgosipula has been named the Goalkeeper of the season while coach, Nikola Kavazovic beat Rodolfo Zapata and Oris Radipotsane for the Coach of the season award.

Kitso Mangala of BDF XI is the Young player of the season while Thatayaone Kgamanyane walked away with the Top goal scorer award. Kgamanyane has since secured a move to South African Premiership side, Chippa United.

In the referees' category, Joshua Bondo scooped the Referee of the season award while Moemedi Monakwane was named the best assistant referee.

In the media category, Mmegi and The Monitor photographer, Kennedy Ramokone was named the best photographer while Mosimanegape Tshoswane scooped the best print media journalist.

Fundi Gaoforwe and Monnakgotla Mojaki shared the best electronic media award with Henry Seetso of Radio Botswana named the best commentator.
