Nato has also received offers to return to India when their league kicks off around August.  Mitchell said some of the offers that Nato received were not suitable and the player is currently unattached.

“In the meantime he will train locally and be available for Zebras,” Mitchell said yesterday.  He said he is not sure yet which team Nato will train with as he waits to return to action. Mitchell also said after what happened last year regarding Nato’s registration with Township Rollers, coming back to Botswana was not an option.

Nato joined Rollers in the middle of the season after the Indian League season came to an end. However, his registration was rocked by protests and was declared a defaulter by the Botswana Football Association (BFA) disciplinary committee (DC).

The issue caused a lot of confusion and delay to the conclusion of the BTC Premiership season, which was eventually won by Rollers. They had lost seven points as a result of Nato being declared a defaulter and had to go for a play-off with rivals, Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

After some further delays, which saw Chiefs bringing only seven players to the match, the match finally took place with Rollers winning 5-0. Rollers still insisted that they followed all the right procedures in his registration, but were persuaded into withdrawing their appeal from the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS)
