Kgetholetsile scored a hat trick against Chiefs

Kenanao ‘Flo’ Kgetholetsile (Gunners)

He scored the first hat trick of the season in his side 3-3 draw against Mochudi Centre Chiefs at the Lobatse Sports Complex. ‘Flo’ showed glimpses of his younger self as he led the Gunners’ youthful attack line with great discipline. The striker is superior in the air, making him a difficult customer for defenders.

Despite his towering figure, Kgetholetsile possesses great technique. He showed that over the weekend in his first and last goals against Chiefs.  With the opener from a tight angle, he squeezed the ball to the post while he showed great technique with the last minute equaliser from the spot. Mapantsula welcome new comers, BR Highlanders on Saturday afternoon at the Lobatse Sports Complex, and Flo could extend his tally against Mag Stimela.

Highlanders, however, conceded a single goal against Police XI and could be a hard nut to crack.

Unobatsha Mbaiwa (Mochudi Centre Chiefs)

He was deemed a prospect a couple of seasons ago as he entered the elite league in BMC FC (now Gilport Lions) colours. He, however, faded from the radar but against Gunners, the 24-year-old bagged a brace in his debut.

The striker’s second goal, a long range strike, reminded the fans of his trademark shots which he was popularly known for. He can position himself well inside the box. He will have to sharpen his technique when Magosi take on Sharps Shooting Stars on Saturday at the Molepolole Sports Complex.

Tshepo Malgas (Sharps Shooting Stars)

He was the second player to score a brace on his debut when he turned out for Sharps against Gaborone United (GU) over the weekend.

The former Under-20 striker could have a field day in the park as he faces the Chiefs’ defence who has already conceded three goals. He could, however, be let down by his decision making inside the final third as he faces a much experienced Chiefs centre backs.

In other games to be played over the weekend, Orapa United and Sankoyo Bush Bucks will be looking for their first maximum points when they face off this evening at the Itekeng Stadium.  Log leaders, Jwaneng Galaxy will be hoping to continue their high scoring form against Security Systems at the Galaxy Stadium.  Systems are also itching for a win after going 2-1 down to Notwane last weekend.

Following their 4-1 midweek defeat to Township Rollers, Black Forest will visit Miscellaneous on Saturday afternoon as they seek their first points of the season. GU on the other end, after suffering a humiliating defeat to Sharps, face Police XI while Prisons XI and BDF XI will battle for maximum points on Sunday afternoon at the Molepolole Sports Complex.
