Kast finally started his 1000KM walk from Maun to Gaborone

The walk is a bid to raise funds and awareness for his upcoming Tlatsa Lebala event scheduled for April.

“I started the walk around 1pm yesterday (Sunday). I was supposed to leave at 11 am but some logistics were still being prepared. I walked from Maun till I reached Chanoga, where my support team and I asked to camp at some homestead for the night and they agreed,” said Kast.

The distance between Maun and Chanoga is 32 kilometers.

He noted that upon camping at night his legs were numb and painful but he has since recovered from the pain since he had already started day two of the walking. He is using the A3 highway to do the walk.

“The experience so far has been amazing. I am getting love and support from various people that I am meeting along the road and they are both old and young people. Some are praying for me while others are wishing me well. I am actually surprised to receive such love in this part of the country where there is less traffic”, he said.

This was also witnessed on Facebook when a number of Facebook users posted pictures with him along the A3 road.

He noted that his fear at the moment is passing through Makgadikgadi/Nxai Pans National park where there is wildlife. “I have been warned by a lot of people about that place. I have been told to pass there during the day. We had requested for police escort for that area but our request was not approved,” he highlighted.

The Sejabana rapper‘s walk is scheduled to take between 25 to 27 days. He has been advised not to walk more than 50km in a day.

On this walk Kast has a support team that is monitoring him and giving him aid in different forms.
